Renee Palacios – Producer/Writer/Human GPS

Renee began her career at USA Networks as an executive overseeing television shows like La Femme Nikita and Pacific Blue. In 2000, Walt Disney Home Entertainment welcomed her as production supervisor, where Renee handled final picture, audio, and script approvals while managing vendors along with both internal and external expectations.

Renee moved from the studio to advertising agency when she joined Trailer Park as Senior Producer and Writer. There she secured TV campaigns including Benjamin Button, Iron Man, Kung-Fu Panda, and 90210.

In 2009, Renee garnered two Hollywood Reporter Key Art Awards for Best in Show and Action Trailer for “The Incredible Hulk.” Now, in 2010, Renee is poised to break new ground in movie marketing with her business partner and bilingual voice-over artist, Anthony Mendez, as they launch Latitude Creative, a vendor specializing in indie and multicultural markets.

Asked why it took so long to focus on these under-appreciated markets, she replied, “LA traffic.”

Anthony Mendez – Narrator/New Media Director/Cookie Lover

Anthony went from audio editor and engineer in 1996, to radio spot producer in 2002, to voice-over artist in 2004. His love of media and marketing is paralleled only by his love of Stella D’oro Swiss Fudge Cookies. As a bilingual voice-over artist, Anthony has narrated movie trailers, network promos, and national network commercials in both English and Spanish. His style transcends culture and language with the unique ability to connect to general market, Hispanic, and urban audiences.

Anthony understands the need to always tell the story even if he only has fifteen or thirty seconds to do so. A former architecture student, he also has a technical background in design and can appreciate the importance of striking a balance between the technical aspect and artistic merit of movie marketing.

Anthony has narrated several campaigns including those for Street Kings, Diary of the Dead, Law Abiding Citizen, and Brooklyn’s Finest (the latter two of which he translated copy into Spanish.) He’s excited about bringing an urban Latino point of view to Latitude Creative – the new vendor he’s founded with veteran trailer producer and copywriter (and the first person to hire him for trailers) Renee Palacios. Anthony hopes to help studios and filmmakers reach and engage those often ignored and misunderstood markets.
